Pete's SpaceSomething for all the family... November 16 Time flies...Its mid-November now, and around 6 months since I last updated this thing. I have added a collection of photo's taken over the summer.
These include, in no particular order:
This summer we managed to see a few good concerts including The Charlatans, DJ Shadow and Starsailor, with the Rolling Stones coming up in a few weeks. During a few camping sessions, and other fishing trips, I still have not caught a fish! This is starting to piss me off. Especially when one day, everyone else seemingly caught a Salmon well over 5lbs (but they were not fly fishing - I should have used a shopping trolley and a bag of worms like everyone else). During one camping session Christie found a large bear in our campsite, and it was eating our baked-bean tin full of bacon fat. Later on in the year we climbed Grouse Mountain, local to us. This is a tough hike of 2km, straight up to the sumit at 3600 feet. At the top we spotted a wild black bear roaming around higher up the slopes. My application for Permanent Residency has been filed in Canada, and I hope to have this completed by April 2007. Its a long, dull process, similar to following Leeds United. Winter has now set in and the weather has turned to rain and wind here in the City, and this means snow on the mountains. Whistler has had so much snow, its opening early this weekend on Nov 18th. I can't wait. I am back in the UK from December 6-12 for Neil Belcher's wedding, and hope to see as many of you as possible at John Allchin's house for a party on December 9th. Xmas will be spent on Vancouver Island in a cabin we have booked on Mount Washington. Hopefully the mountain is open for snowboarding by then. Take care and keep in touch. Peter & Christie May 15 Summer has arrivedI have added several new photo albums covering a few of this year's activities to date:
The weather has finally taken a turn for the better. Temperature is hotting up and the beach is calling. Better weather means winter sports are coming to an end (even though Whister is still boasting over 6 feet of snow base up top) and snowboarding is making way for fishing and camping.
Recently I joined the IBM football team, and we are playing other work teams around the city. Christie has joined a softball team and is looking forward to anything other than running. Her and her sister ran the Vancouver Half Marathon last weekend and completed in a great time of 2h25m. Their mum ran the Full Marathon and complated that in 4h20m.
Recently we went to see the Magic Numbers and Jurassic 5 (who were supported by a great DJ called Mike Relm - keep a look out for him in the UK).
Feel free to add comments or drop us an email. We look forward to hearing from you all.
I enclose photos of the Magic Numbers, who invited the entire audience onto the stage to sing along on their last song of the evening.
Take care and talk soon.

January 01 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!Happy New Year to everyone out there we know, and anyone we don't.
Christmas was fun on Vancouver Island, however a distinct lack of snow meant no smowboarding on Mount Washington. Plenty to eat and drink and managed to take in King kong at the Cinema.
Posted some new photos of the past 2 months activities and Xmas.
Best wishes for 2006, and hope host more of you in Vancouver soon.
Peter & Christie November 06 30th and 33rd in VancouverDear all, I have just posted some pictures from my week off with John and Neil who were visiting my for my 30th and John's 33rd. We had great times. Some of the things we found entertaining were, 70's pub crawl, Granville Island Market, Salmon BBQ, Grouse Mountain, Grizzly bears, Stanley Park, Sushi x2, Anthrapology Museum, Whistler, Zip-lining (death-slides), Ice Hockey, Night Clubs and live music, Camping, Fly fishing, and last but not least, drinking. One of the funniest things was seeing John eating Sushi.....you had to be there, but for a man who hate's fish, 6 huge chunks of raw Salmon and Tuna were the last thing he wanted. Take a look and we'll talk to you all soon. Pete & Christie September 16 Back to the Motherland - Part 2Once again, it was good to be back home, and Clod and Lou's wedding was a fantastic day.
This time Christie managed to get the time off work and we both travelled back to the UK for the wedding.
Christie spent a day in Southampton and says a big THANKS to all those who joined her for a night on the tiles.
I spent my time in Cambridge, with my parents. The wedding was at Magdalene College on Saturday September 10th. Clod looked superb in his kilt, Lou looked lovely in her dress and the Best Man.......well......Johny A did a grand job........"The McNugget Clan.....". A superb line.
